Checking if a private key matches an SSL certificate

You can check whether a private key matches an SSL certificate using the Certificate Key Matcher tool.

Paste your certificate into the Enter your Certificate field and your private key into the Enter your Private Key field, then click Check.

Where to find your data:

• Certificate — in the email sent to your contact address after the certificate was issued;
• Private key for a free SSL certificate — also in that email (the subject line starts with «Данные для установки ssl сертификата для домена»);
• Private key for a paid certificate — stored on your PC, generated at the time of ordering.

If the key matches the certificate, the tool will display a confirmation message:
