Instructions for configuring Multi-Hop WireGuard VPN on Android
A cascading VPN connection enhances security by encrypting traffic at multiple levels and reduces the likelihood of being blocked by online services.
To connect to the VPN service on an Android device, download the WireGuard app from the Play Store.
Choose your VPN connection country in your personal account.
- Entry location:
- We recommend selecting the country closest to you.
- Exit location:
- Other services will see your connection as originating from this country.
Download the configuration file to your Android device or use the QR code.
Open the configuration file on your Android device. You will see the following screen, as shown in the screenshot.
Note
After downloading the configuration file, it is saved with a .txt
extension. Before importing it into the WireGuard client, rename the file and change its extension from .txt
to .conf
.
Select a preferred method to add the configuration file, such as Import from file or archive.
Allow VPN configuration changes and confirm by pressing the corresponding button. The configuration file will then be added to your device.
To connect to the VPN, toggle the switch to the right.
This completes the setup.
Warning
WireGuard allows only one active connection at a time.
After connecting to the VPN, you can check your IP address using the 2IP service.
