Configuring the Evolution email client in cPanel

Description and basic functions of the Evolution email client in the cPanel control panel

The Linux mail client "Evolution" is an analogue of Microsoft Outlook.

After installing the client, we are greeted by an initial setup window with the ability to import files from other applications.

Click on the "Next" button

In the new window, fill in the data and click "Next"

  • "Full Name" - name of the mailbox Owner
  • "Email" - hosted email address

In the Account Information window, click the "Next" button again

Click "Apply" to save our data.

Now right-click in the upper left corner on our Mailbox and select "Properties"

Go to "Receive Mail" and specify settings:

  • Server: host####.fornex.org(connection details can be found in Mail Client Settings in cPanel for your mailbox)

  • Port: 993
  • User name: you can specify just your mailbox name (test) or you can specify it in full (test@frnx.com)
  • Security: SSL
  • Authentication: Password

Go to "Send Mail" and specify the settings:

  • Server: host####.fornex.org
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL
  • Authentication: Registration
  • User name: you can specify just the name of your mailbox (test) or you can specify it in full (test@frnx.com)

Press "Ok", the mail is configured.
