Restoring Email Backups

Important! Before unpacking new emails, it is highly recommended to back up the ones already on your server.

  • Log in to the cPanel control panel on the new server.
  • Create email accounts exactly as on the old server.
  • Open File Manager under the Files section.
  • Go to the home directory, where you will see the Mail folder. Enter this folder.
  • Upload your email backup file into this directory.
  • Extract the backup file and delete the zip file.
  • Open Webmail, and you will see that the emails have been successfully migrated.
