Public DNS from Google Public DNS and OpenDNS, for example, if you have:

  • Some sites stop loading.
  • Access to content is blocked for geographical reasons.
  • Your Internet Service Provider is restricting access to sites.

Google Public DNS will provide stable loading of sites. OpenDNS OpenDNS can offer advanced functionality: a built-in filter, phishing protection and a parental control function. This requires registration.

Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your device

Click on the blue circle with the letter i next to the desired connection

Then in the DNS line choose the tab "Manual → Add Server " and enter its address

For Google Public DNS it is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
For OpenDNS it is 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

After adding, press "Save" button.
